Some doctors will use other additional tests and methods for such measurements such as Erythocyte Sedimentation rate (ESR) and Matrix Metalloproteinases (MMPs) to assess the extent of and changes in inflammation.  Reductions in the body’s inflammation levels will result in changes in these levels over time.
